By now, some of you might already know that Land Rover is set to “go above and beyond” and launch six pure electric vehicles (EVs) over the next five years. But just as the excitement was sinking in, Jaguar Land Rover fans are greeted with yet another great news and we at Land Rover Boerne couldn’t be happier to share it with you. Land Rover’s been working on a secret Hydrogen Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle (FCEV) and will soon begin testing it. Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has said that it had been working on a prototype Hydrogen FCEV for some time and that it will start testing it later this year.

Fans of the Land Rover Defender will have a reason to cheer as the concept is based on the latest version of the Defender.

The FCEV is part of JLR’s plans to go carbon neutral by having its entire vehicle line-up emit zero tailpipe emissions by 2036. The company has also revealed that the testing will focus on the vehicle’s fuel efficiency and off-road capabilities.
