Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has said that it had been working on a prototype Hydrogen FCEV for some time and that it will start testing it later this year.

Fans of the Land Rover Defender will have a reason to cheer as the concept is based on the latest version of the Defender.

The FCEV is part of JLR’s plans to go carbon neutral by having its entire vehicle line-up emit zero tailpipe emissions by 2036. The company has also revealed that the testing will focus on the vehicle’s fuel efficiency and off-road capabilities.
